Download Status

    Pause/Resume

Temporarily stops downloading current file. Click Resume to continue download.
Note: download can not stop immediately, it actually continues in the background for a while until the buffer is full.

    Skip

Stops downloading current file and goes straight to the next file from the list.

    Abort

Stops downloading completely. If you want to continue later you will have to use Download All Files option again and make new selection.

    > >

Opens local destination folder so you can access downloaded files.

Import URLs (direct links to files)

Allows you to import the list of URLs of files to download. The list has to be in plain text format, single URL per row.

Export URLs (direct links to files)

Exports all the remaining URLs from the list of files that are currently being downloaded to a plain text file, single URL per row.

File Type Filter

Enter file type extensions for Druid to look for in this textbox. Use semicolon as the list delimiter: jpg; gif; bmp;... Do not forget to click Apply when you finalize changes. You can always go back to default list by clicking Default. The default list is following: "gif; bmp; jpg; jpeg; mp3; wav; mov; avi; mpg; mpeg; mpe; swf; zip; arj; exe; doc; xls; ppt; pdf;".

You can also use standard wildcards (example: "nm*.gif; picture.*; page?.htm; *.doc; image*.zip;")

Same File Name Action

    Ask user

You will have to decide what to do in a separate dialog for each file already existing in the local destination folder.

    Auto rename

Druid will rename new file automatically by adding ordinal numbers as the prefix or suffix depending on the choice you made in Settings (e.g. "[0001] goodimage.jpg", "[0002] goodimage.jpg", ..., or "goodimage [0001].jpg", "goodimage [0002].jpg", ...).

    Overwrite

New file is downloaded over the old one without asking. Please note that old file is lost for good.

    Skip

New file is simply skipped and it will not be downloaded at all.

    Try to resume

This option works only if you have selected Download Druid as the Download Method (see below). In that case Druid will try to resume downloading if the file to download is larger than the file already existing in the local destination folder suggesting the local file is incomplete.

Settings

    On Download Completed

When Download Druid finishes downloading, it can notify you in two ways. A pop-up window can be displayed, or a sound notification can be played (or even both at the same time). You can also set your own WAV file to be played as the sound notification. Do not forget to click Apply to save any changes you have made.

    Download Method

Alternative option to default Internet Explorer is Download Druid and the difference is following. If you choose Download Druid method closing Internet Explorer will not stop downloading process. It will continue to work in the background as far as you do not stop it explicitly in the Druid Bar. Additionaly, this download method has the ability to resume downloads of incomplete files.

    Proxy

If you access the Internet through a proxy, type in your proxy server parameters or leave it to use default proxy from your Internet Explorer.

    When auto renaming files

Here you can choose a convention for auto renaming files that suits you best. It can either be adding a prefix or suffix to the original file name (e.g. "[0001] goodimage.jpg", "[0002] goodimage.jpg", ..., or "goodimage [0001].jpg", "goodimage [0002].jpg", ...).

If you also enable "Always rename files" option then all downloaded files will get a prefix or suffix added to their file names even when there is no conflict with existing files. This option is especially useful when working with prefix option because that way downloaded files will automatically be grouped and sorted chronologically.

Error Log

If the program encounters some error during download process it will be listed here to make troubleshooting easier.
